Modified Eagle's Minimum Essential Medium (MEM)

MEM media is one of the more commonly used of all cell culture media and is ideally suited for broad-spectrum mammalian cell culture. MEM media formulations contain a higher concentration of amino acids than the earlier Eagle's basal medium (BME). Many other MEM media formulations are available, including Glasgow's MEM, MEM alpha, DMEM and Temin's Modified MEM.
