·XBT Buccal tube-the first buccal tube designed with a cross arrangement of a round tube and a rectangular tube. The round tube with -25° makes the molars in a “tip forward position” relative to the arch wire. In most of this situation, the molars take on the most severely mal-positioned teeth and therefore can lead the force system of the arch wire. The rectangular tube with -7° can prevent the molars from tipping forward, which usually happens in extraction cases.
·Double tip-back buccal tubes provide 24-hour tip-back moments from the thin nickel-titanium (NiTi) wires to thick rectangular wires, thus prevent the loss of physiologic anchorage.
